On October 5, Microsoft has released a stable Windows 11 build. Windows 11 upgrade will be available on Windows Update in stages, but you can manually upgrade using tools such as Media Creation Tool and Windows 11 Installation Assistant.
As many users have already tried to install Windows 11 on their PC, they are also experiencing some installation issues. Users are experiencing error code “0x8007007f”. It occurs when upgrading the system using the installation assistant. The error code 0x8007007f keeps occurring at around 71% through the installation. Fortunately, there is a workaround, which we will discuss in this article.
Ways to Fix Error Code 0x8007007f in Windows 11 Installation Assistant
Method 1: Restart Windows Once.
Method 2: Run Windows 11 Installation Assistant as an Admin.
So, restarting the system and running the installation assistant tool as an administrator will likely fix the issue. The cause of the bug is unknown, but it is expected that a particular driver may be involved.
In addition to this, there is also an error message “Ox8COF0830 – ox2W03 The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during INSTALL_UPDATES operation”. It seems that some driver is affecting this error, but as of now, there is no suitable workaround.
If you can’t manually upgrade to Windows 11 OS, we suggest staying with Windows 10 OS for the time being.
