A new Google Pixel tablet is coming, but not until 2023. It is confirmed that Google has been working on a new Pixel tablet and planning to unveil it by 2023. At Google’s annual I/O 2022 event, the company gave us an early look at the upcoming Pixel tablet, mainly focusing on entertainment and a bridge to other Pixel devices.
We don’t know much about this Pixel tablet, but we expect it will likely run on the Android 13 operating system. The last tablet Google launched was the Pixel Slate in 2018. Google Pixel Tablet Release Date

Although, Google stated that the upcoming Google Pixel tablet is being released in 2023. We don’t know the exact release date. We could see it debut any time that year. Google launched its previous Pixel Slate tablet in October 2018 and the Pixel C tablet in December 2015. So, based on the earlier records, we can expect to see the next Google Pixel tablet in the second half of 2023.
Google Pixel Tablet Price
- Google Pixel Tablet could be priced at $399 in the US. In the UK, Google Pixel Tablet may cost £349. In terms of Canadian pricing, the Google Pixel Tablet may start at CAD 499.
Google didn’t share specific pricing information about the latest Google Pixel tablet, like the release date. But, as per rumours, it is likely to be more of a premium-style product. It indicates that it may be priced closer to an iPad than a budget Android tablet. However, time will tell the exact truth.
Google Pixel Tablet: Design and Specs
At the Google I/O 2022 event, Google unveiled a short teaser of the Google Pixel tablet. Based on the teaser, it will be a pretty bland-looking tablet. However, Google didn’t reveal the screen size information. But they stated that it would be on the larger side like a Nest Hub display. There’s a front-facing camera and a camera on the back of the tablet in the corner. We expect a simple, streamlined slate with rounded edges and thick bezels. But, the teaser indicates the bezels around the display are more prominent.

Google has already confirmed that the Pixel tablet will come with its homegrown Tensor processor, but not sure which one. Tensor is Google’s in-house SoC. It uses a mix of components that Google has either designed or licensed. We can confidently assume it’ll run on the latest Android 13 operating system, apart from the processor. However, we have no official words on RAM, battery capacity, etc. We have to wait until Google releases any official notifications about this information.
