Chinese manufacturer iQOO has published a teaser via GSMArena in which it confirms that it will launch the new iQOO smartphone on August 4th. According to speculation, the company will launch iQOO 8. The news took a lot of people by surprise, as the iQOO had not provided any indication regarding the successors of the iQOO 7.
However, it looks the company is working on another smartphone under the iQOO 7 series which will be dubbed iQOO 7 Pro. Recently, iQOO 7 Pro is listed on the IMEI database with model V2141A, which does imply to us that the handset could soon launch. The listing doesn’t reveal much else about the handset at the moment.
Talking about vanilla iQOO 7 that was launched in January 2021, equipped with 5G connectivity. It has very high profile technical features, starting from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC to the 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset packs RAM up to 12GB LPDDR5 and the Vapor Chamber cooling that covers an area 140% greater than the previous generation heat pipe. There are three rear cameras set up: the main 48MP unit with optical image stabilization, the 13MP wide-angle unit with 120-degree field of view and a 13MP telephoto unit with f/2.46 aperture. The battery is backed by 4000 mAh capacity and offers super-fast charging up to 120W.
