Today, Microsoft has released a Chromium-based Microsoft Edge 93.0.933.1 for the Dev Channel. It comes with it several new features as well as various fixes and improvements. We’ll start with the new features. The most highlighted change is the Tag Groups feature which is now being enabled by default. We have discussed the complete changelog below.
Major innovations of 93.0.933.1 build
- Tab groups are now enabled by default.
- Added “Internet Explorer Integration Cloud Site List” policy. Administrative templates and documentation will be updated later.
- By default, access to hand tracking data is enabled in Web XR scenarios.
- Added the ability to add tab groups to collections and open the contents of the collection in tab groups.

- Fixed crash when closing tabs in IE mode.
- Fixed a crash when using the search bar on web pages.
- Fixed a crash when submitting a review.

- Fixed a crash on Mac when using context menus in Collections.
Checkout other fixes
- The problem due to which passwords were sorted incorrectly in the “Parameters” has been fixed.
- Fixed an issue resulting in USB permissions not showing in the Site Info pop-up window.
- We fixed an issue resulting in the Site Info popup being too large.
- We fixed an issue resulting in the browser not closing when clicking the Close button in the close all tabs warning if any IE mode tabs were open at that moment.
- We fixed an issue resulting in modal dialogue boxes not displaying correctly when using IE mode.
- We fixed an issue that sometimes resulted in the new tab page not loading.
- We fixed an issue on Mac and Linux that prevented the Options page from displaying when searching for something.
- Fixed an issue where the Cookies and Site Data page in Settings was blank.
- An issue is fixed, due to which collections were not synchronized, freezing in the “Synchronizing …” state.
- We fixed an issue resulting in policies sometimes being incorrectly applied on devices running Windows 10 Pro for Workstations.
- We fixed an issue resulting in incorrectly configured policies sometimes causing downloads to fail.
- We fixed an issue resulting in the Shopping pop-up sometimes freezing and unable to close.
- We fixed an issue resulting in the X button sometimes not appearing to exit full-screen video playback.
- Fixed an issue where InPrivate was sometimes available even when using Family Safety.
- Fixed an issue due to which the button to exit the “Child mode” did not work.
- We fixed an issue that caused the price comparison feature to trigger small savings.
- We fixed an issue resulting in UI elements not being clickable in PWAs and websites installed as apps.
