Microsoft has released version 92 for the Edge browser. In this new version, Microsoft mainly focused on the security of passwords.
Now Microsoft Edge will inform users whether their passwords are strong enough for use and also it will tell you if this same password was used in another website so you can change to a new stronger password.
Also, in the mobile version, you can use Edge 92 version as a system-wide password manager to log into various apps. Keep in mind currently Edge 92 version is only available through the pre-release version on mobile devices.
Now the Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge supports “NoFrameMerging”. This option causes each browser window to be executed in its own process. Also, MHTML files will be automatically opened in IE mode.
Also in the news tab page in Edge, you will now be able to express your feeling towards an article via Emojis use.
Also here are a few more new features for Edge 92 version:
- Any recordings made with the integrated screenshot tool now can be saved in a collection and thus synchronized across all devices.
- Microsoft Endpoint Data Leak Protection (DLP) policy is now supported on Mac.
- In PDF documents, two pages can be turned at once in “book mode”.
- Now you can suppress the query when you press the F12 key as to whether the developer tools should be opened or not.
- Users now have the ability to improve their browsing by switching from HTTP to HTTPS on domains that support the more secure protocol. (Note: This feature is only being tested with some users)
