With the new Windows 11, Microsoft has completely revamped and redesigned the user interface for Microsoft Store App. You can also download and use Android applications on Windows using the Microsoft Store app. But many users are reporting the Microsoft App Store crashing or not opening or not working issue in their Windows 11 PC. It’s one of the common issues faced in Windows 11. We personally met with the issue once and it goes very annoying when you have to download any important application but the Store app restricts you to do so.

In this post, we have picked and mentioned the best possible methods using which you can fix Microsoft Store App not working in Windows 11. There can be multiple reasons behind this like the application got corrupted, unstable internet connection or an internal error. We have mentioned all methods in the post below. Keep reading till the end to know more about it.

Fix Microsoft Store Not Opening

How to Fix Microsoft Store Not Working Issue in Windows 11

Method 1: Check your internet connection

The best solution for this problem is to check your internet connection or connect to a stable network. If you are using an unstable or poor internet connection, the app may not behave properly or may crash. If you are unable to locate a fault on the currently connected network, connect to other networks and try again. If the Store app works with another network, it means that your network is having issues.

Method 2: Check Date and Time

If your PC’s time got mismatched with the network time or if you mistakenly set the wrong date and time in your PC, then there are high chances that the Microsoft Store app might not work for you. So you will have to check the date and time of your PC. To do so, head over to settings and then click on Time and languages. Now turn on Set time automatically and select the time zone of your country or region. Now reboot the PC and check whether the Windows 11 Microsoft Store app is opening for you or not.

Method 3: Update your Windows

If you are using an old version of Windows, the Microsoft Store app and other applications may not work for you. In this case, you must search for and install the most recent update on your Windows PC. To check for updates, go to Settings, then Windows Update, and finally the Check for updates button. If a new update appears, update your Windows PC as soon as possible. After you’ve finished updating your Windows PC, check to see if the app is still working for you.

Method 4: Run SFC Scan And DISM Scan

First of all, open the command prompt and run it as administrator. Now type sfc /scannow and hit enter to run the command. This will scan your PC for all the errors. Wait for the process to complete, and then restart your PC. This should fix all the issues with the Microsoft Store.

To run DISM scan, open the command prompt and run it as administrator. Copy-paste the following command and hit enter to run it.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

As soon as it finishes running the command and completes scanning, reboot your PC and check whether the issue got fixed for you or not.

Method 5: Repair Microsoft Store

If there is an internal error in Microsoft Store, it may not function properly. You will need to repair the Microsoft Store in this case. To do so, open Settings, navigate to the Apps section and then tap on Apps and features. Now, search for Microsoft Store and, when it appears, right-click it and select Advanced options. There will be three options available to you; select the Repair button and, once completed, reboot your Windows 11 PC to see if the application has started working for you.

Method 6: Reset Microsoft Store

If none of the above-mentioned steps worked for you, then try to reset the Microsoft Store. To reset the Microsoft store, follow the same steps mentioned in Method 5 but instead of clicking on the Repair button, click on the Reset button as the last step. Once you have successfully reset the Microsoft Store then reboot your PC and check again whether the app is working or not. Most probably, it should work.
