Apple is preparing to launch its next-generation “iPhone 12s” or “iPhone 13” lineup. With the introduction of Magsafe in the iPhone 12, we were excited about Apple’s new battery feature. Now it looks Apple will present it in the fall.
Reverse wireless charging on the iPhone 13/12S?
We don’t have to wait long for Apple to introduce the next generation of iPhones probably iPhone 13 or iPhone 12S: According to the latest report, the upcoming iPhone 13/12S series will get a new battery feature, which has been available in this form for Android devices for quite a while. Yes, we are talking about reverse charging. This is a technology that allows accessories to be charged inductively through the back of the smartphone.
Android smartphones have had this feature for a long time, and it has been expected (since the iPhone 12 launch) that Apple would like to install this function in the future. The MagSafe feature would supposedly already be able to charge accessories via the back of the iPhone, but this would still be prevented by the software.
As per Max Weinbach via EverythingApplePro, the reverse charging feature will be used in the upcoming iPhone 13 or iPhone 12S this fall. The reason for the assumption is the assumption that the entire Magsafe system is getting bigger.
It is unclear whether an Apple Watch can be charged with it, but Max Weinbach assumes that at least Airpods can be charged with it – provided, of course, you are in possession of Airpods with an inductive charging case.
