Although Android 12 is still on the horizon for many users, the latest Android 13 is something that a lot of people are looking forward to. As of now, Samsung is continuously pushing the Android 12 (One UI 4.1) updates to various compatible phones and tablets. At I/O 2022 event, Google released the Android 13 beta to the public. Samsung users are excited to know whether their Galaxy devices will get Android 13 or not.

August 15: Android 13 Stable Build is Now Official. Sadly, the update is available for Google Pixel smartphones only. However, Galaxy S22 series stable rollout is not too far. Google says other OEMs including Samsung will roll out Android 13 later this year.
August 5: Samsung Android 13 open beta program is live for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra in the United States, Germany and South Korea. Head over to the Samsung Members app and join the beta program.
June 8: Android 13 has reached Platform Stability with the Beta 3 build release. We can expect Samsung Android 13 beta program announce is nearing.
May 27: Google has released the Android 13 Beta 2.1 update for Pixel devices. Samsung users are still waiting for the first beta update.
May 17: Samsung Android 13 beta program will likely start by July 2022. The beta program may open for the Galaxy S22 family alongside Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Flip 4.
May 11: Android 13 is now official. The Beta build is live for 22 devices from 12 OEMs. Sadly, Samsung has not announced its beta program yet.
Samsung Android 13 Release Date
- Samsung will likely release the Android 13 stable update to its eligible galaxy devices in October 2022. Initially, the Android 13 stable update with One UI 5 skin will roll out to Galaxy S22 series.
The first One UI 5-based Android 13 beta build was released in August 2022 for the S22 family. So, we can expect that it should be available for other Samsung Galaxy devices by the end of the year. The stable version of Android 13 will be accompanied by One UI 5.
How to Join the Samsung Android 13 Beta Program?
- Firstly, open the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy device.
- Log in to your Samsung account (or create a new one).
- Now choose the “Registration for One UI Beta Program” option from the home page.
- You will receive an OTA to update your device to Android 13.
- Head over to Settings, and click on Software Update> Download and Install.
- The update will download and install on the handset. This will take a little while to install.
