Samsung Galaxy A90 5G was released in September 2019 with Android 9 Pie out of the box. Since its release, this Galaxy device has received Android 10,11 and recently Android 12 updates. The Galaxy A90 5G model is currently running on Android 12 OS based on One UI 4.1. But, now the question is, “Will Samsung Galaxy A90 5G get the Android 13 OS update?”. Several Galaxy A90 5G users are concerned about it if they will get the next UI updates on their device. Here, we will talk about the possibility of getting the Android 13 update on your Galaxy A90 5G model.
Will Samsung Galaxy A90 5G get an Android 13 (One UI 5) Update?
- No, Samsung Galaxy A90 5G users may not be able to use the latest Android 13 update based on One UI 5.
Update: Samsung Android 13 (One UI 5) open beta program is live for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra in the United States, Germany and South Korea. If you own an S22 model, visit the Samsung Members app and join the beta program.
Currently, Samsung continuously expands the Android 12 update based on One UI 4.1 to various compatible Galaxy devices. On the other hand, Google is also planning to debut its next primary OS (Android 13) update in 2022. As per reports, Samsung’s latest One UI 5.0 will be based on Android 13. Samsung may unveil its latest UI update based on the Android 13 operating system sometime in September 2022.
The Galaxy A90 5G comes as a cheap and affordable flagship device. It comes with a powerful Snapdragon 855 processor. But people didn’t like the idea of an affordable flagship device in the A-series. So, Samsung didn’t continue this series. However, Samsung promised to give three years of major OS updates and one additional security update on the Galaxy A90 5G model. The model has received three major updates, including the Android 12 (One UI 4.1) update. So, based on the Samsung update policy, they will get one more security update but may not get any further OS updates.
Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G has reached its end of life. That means the Android 12 OS could be the last update for Galaxy A90 5G model. This model may not receive the latest One UI 5 update based on Android 13 OS as per reports. It might receive security patches but won’t get its manufacturer’s new Android operating system updates.
Final Words:
However, nothing is official yet. Samsung has not announced any official notification about the latest Android 13 compatible device lists. So, there is a little hope. But based on Samsung’s update policy, Galaxy A90 5G users may have to spend their entire life on One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 OS. If you want to use the latest Android 13 OS or more software updates, we recommend switching to the new Galaxy devices. But, if you are a casual user and do not care about the software updates, then the Galaxy A90 5G model should work fine for you. If you have any queries, please ask in the comment box below.
