If you want to customize Windows 10/ 11 the way you want, there are many options. For example, Dism ++, or the MSMG Toolkit if you want to edit an ISO in advance. Now you can use Sophia Script for Windows after an installation. The advantage of the Sophia Script is that you can save your default settings and use them immediately after a new installation. ThisIsWin11 is a bit clearer for the settings. But you have to be careful with all available tools.
Windows 11 and 10 Sophia Script
Sophia Script is a small tool that, using PowerShell, can quickly adjust Windows after a new installation. Now there was a name change. The 10 was deleted from Sophia Script for Windows 10 because it now works under Windows 11 and Windows 10. The Sophia Script Wrapper is still responsible for the GUI. A separate script package is now available for Windows 11, which can be unpacked and integrated via the wrapper in the “Import Preset” menu. The further procedure is then identical. The focus is now on the SophiApp, which is still under development.
Some of the features of Sophia Script for Windows 11/10
- Set up data protection & telemetry
- Set up UI & Personalization
- Uninstall OneDrive “correctly”
- Change the storage location of the user folders
- Uninstall UWP applications from all accounts
- Removal of Windows functions
- File all tiles in the start menu
- Set up Windows 10 security
- Make settings in the context menu
The advantage is that once you have created your script correctly, you can use it again and again. But even if you don’t want to use it, the integrated settings, links, paths and settings in the registry are certainly very interesting for script collectors.
Before you get started “wildly”, you should read the instructions on the GitHub page carefully. Even if a restore point is created and each change has a function of restoring the default settings.
