Troubleshoot Windows 11 Installation
“This PC cannot run Windows 11”
The error message “This PC cannot run Windows 11” is the most common and normally comes with a list of causes that cause Windows 11 installation to fail.
- The processor must have at least two cores.
- There must be at least 4 GB of system memory.
Why these errors? Your PC may not meet the minimum system requirements for Windows 11, or some settings required for installing Windows 11 are simply disabled.
“Unable to update the system reserved partition”
The “Unable to update the system reserved partition” error (accompanied by the error code 0xc1900104 or 0x800f0922) occurs when the System reserved partition does not have enough free space: it takes at least 15 MB free space to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

Windows cannot be installed on this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed on GPT disks
To fix this error and install Windows 11, you need to convert the disk to GPT.
Error code 0xc1900101
You see Windows 11 activation error code 0xc1900101 when you try to upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11.
