Windows 11 is currently publicly available for beta testing. Although the operating system itself is under active development, it is already clear that it will include many changes and new features.
Windows 11 has gotten an updated centred Start menu, Windows widgets, improved snapping functionality, an updated Microsoft Store, the ability to install Android apps from the Amazon App Store. Also including various other small changes.
Microsoft has already added three new keyboard shortcuts to Windows 11. Some of them enable new features, while others make it easier to use existing Windows functionality.
They are more suitable for advanced users who prefer to use the keyboard for navigation and especially appreciate quick access to the functions they need.
List of New Windows 11 Keyboard Short Shortcuts
- Win+W – opens a new menu of widgets
- Win+Z – opens a new popup with anchor layouts. The panel is displayed in the upper-right corner of the active application window.
- Win+N – opens the Notification Center.
Also, reports show that the Win+A combination for accessing quick settings is also new. Quick settings let you toggle Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Airplane mode, and other features without going into the Settings app.
Earlier in Windows 10, this combination also works to display the Action Center, which combines the Quick Settings panel and Action Center. In Windows 11, Win + A will only display quick settings, while Win + N will activate Action Center.
Also in Windows 11, Win+W opens a new widget menu whereas in Windows 10 this hotkey opens the Windows Ink Workspace.
